Heart of Hospice Social Services/Counseling

Deb Lambo, MA, LMHC

Deb graduated from Seattle University with an MA in Psychology. She has a Children’s Mental Health Specialist Certificate from the University of Washington, and is currently in the process of obtaining her Geriatric Mental Health credentials.

She has worked for Heart of Hospice since January 2009, humbled by the opportunity to serve people at such an important and sacred time of life. She loves the amazing team of people who do this service, and she loves using her training and skills in new, expansive ways.

Deb’s hobbies include reading, gardening, wine, travel, playing with her dog, and enjoying people and friends. Deb and her husband are transplants to the Gorge, originally from the greater Seattle area. They had thought of moving to this area for retirement, and are fortunate that life led them here sooner, along with their grown children!

“Live well, laugh often, love much.”

Angela House, MSW

Angie graduated from Walla Walla University in March 2009 with a master’s degree in social work; her focus of study throughout both her BSW and MSW programs was with the elderly and in medical social work. Angie was excited to join Heart of Hospice in March 2010; hospice care gives her the opportunity to do both.

“I’ve met some amazing people—and feel honored they are willing to let me be a part of their life. I love the focus on living until the end, rather than on the pending death.”

Angie has two adult sons, Sean and Micah, and six beautiful grandchildren. Her hobbies include counted cross-stitch, reading, and music–piano and singing.

“Do it right the first time!”

Julia Hinkley, MSW

Julia was involved in hospice care as a CNA for 10 years before making the decision to go back to school. In August of 2009 Julia graduated from Walla Walla University with a master’s degree in social work, and came to Heart of Hospice in the summer of 2010.

She finds real reward in providing heart-to-heart care/services to patients and their families.

Julia and Richard have recently welcomed three babies to their family of seven parakeets. Julia enjoys her 22 year old daughter, sewing, quilting, crafts, fishing, and camping.
