In many ways we are a unique Hospice with an amazing team.
Every employee on our team is a valued member. One of our core beliefs is that it takes a team to provide great Hospice care, from our volunteers and direct caregivers all the way down to the Board of Directors.
Our team focus is centered on the needs and desires of our patients and their families. Our governing creed is “Do the right thing”. We feel that these two factors, combined with the most experienced Hospice Team in the Columbia Gorge, are a winning combination resulting in the highest quality of care.
One of our family members expressed it best when she said: “You don’t just take care of the patient; you take care of the whole family. I was just looking for someone to help care for my mom. I feel like you guys just wrap your arms around us and we are gonna be ok.”
We have been described as being pampering, professional, dynamic and caring. We bring compassion, joy, love and laughter to a stressful time. We are never rushed to complete a visit. If more time is needed we take it. It’s the right thing to do.
We believe our Heart to Heart care sets us apart from the rest. We take the time to listen to stories, concerns, fears, jokes or whatever the moment brings. We help celebrate special moments and events—from birthdays, anniversaries and holidays to sharing a piece of fresh baked pie, a special song, a favorite passage in a book , a game of cribbage or a drive in the country. We pride ourselves on being present in the moment because that is really what life is—a series of moments.
